Semis vs. Steve Sax

From context I can tell that steve took a LONG time on this play. Gammon Associates is my home club as it is Steve's. Steve is better than I am, because backgammon is the only thing he does. He knew the best play in two seconds, but he was searching for alternatives to eliminate the volatility of getting hit with the match on the line. He just hates it.

Steve took 45 minutes on a cube decision in the finals of an event in Vegas, I think it was. He is good with the checkers, but fights his emotions some. So do I, so I recognize the symptoms, ok?

Evidently his worst fears were realized when Adam must have hit this shot and won? Steve was still mad about not closing Adam out with a double shot earlier in the match and then getting jokered by 11. Sometimes it seems like the handwriting is on the wall, but who wants to read it???
