In Response To: A new variance reduciton technique (Bob Koca)
Perhaps some more analytical work could produce a quantitative estimate of the benefits? It seems clear that the technique would produce an x% time savings for checker-play rollouts, but x=50 would be a lot more interesting than x=.001. A convincing argument that x = would greatly increase the chance that this idea will ever get a practical test.
