As a display of my backgammon girth, I started a 3-ply rollout with expanded movefilter (12 within .2 on 2-ply, then 2-ply's 6 within .08 on 3-ply) using 8 cores.

The first indication was that the double hit was pretty clear:

** ** ERROR:(eval.c:1047):CalculateHalfInputs: assertion failed: (n) Aborted

However the alternatives have jumped back to being contenders, we shall see.
