I think it is fair to say that making the 5 point instead of hitting loose on 4 point is always close to a blunder

I'm guessing you didn't check my post and the rollouts before making this statement?

It would be an entirely different position if we improved our opponent's position offensively, perhaps I'll look at it later today.
