First, I'd have folded to a raise and substantial reraise in front of me. Too easy for someone to have AK or AQ in front of me, and then I'm royally screwed if I hit the relevant card.
The format here is mega-deepstacked NLHE. $500/$1k blinds, and the players have ~$500k in front of them. You don't play this type of hand for top pair, you play it for straights and flushes and are getting massive implied odds to call this smallish (in regards to your stack, not the blinds) raise.
Second, postflop, I'd have called Barry's reraise to 100K. If I hit my hand, I'll be in a sweet spot. If I miss, I'll likely fold. Perhaps he knew Barry was in position, so he knew it was basically definite that he would have to fold if he missed on the turn?
Since you are playing this type of hand for straights and flushes, if you just call the raise here, you are basically telling Barry "Hey... I have a flush draw". The best time to get your money in on a big draw like this is on the flop when you still have two cards to try and hit, and your opponent will likely call you. If you wait until you hit your straight, flush, trips etc. It's too easy for your opponent to get away from the hand, and you will not make as much as if you commited yourself (as Dwan did with his reraise putting about half his stack in) or just shoved it in on the flop. With raising you also get some fold equity, just obviously not from aces or a set.
