I'd take a roll, if he makes it to the edge then I would double him and let him think about it... I will have extra builders by that time anyway... He hasn't got a threat to win now, and you DO have a clear threat to hit a second checker in which case you WILL be too good... at least until he anchors.

Roll on. Even if the bot says not to, btw... Because you are not playing a bot, and human opponents make WILD mistakes in their evaluations of these type of positions and their derivatives.
