I think we need to distinguish between your terminology, *chessclocks*, and what we use in backgammon nowadays.

Also, as I didn't see the rest of the match, only the mad scramble at the end, I don't know how you got yourself into such a predicament. Still, and this is for me personally I realize it doesn't hold true for most, 24 seconds is a veritable plethora of time. I could play an entire match on 24 seconds and play pretty good I'd be willing to bet, all modesty aside per usual.
