Concerning rolling

As usual I'll mention how stupid the current cocked dice rule is since who cares where the dice land as long as they are flat? But anyhow... regarding rolling:
Players are supposed to shake and roll well enough to guarantee a random mix of the dice and roll. When I was a young man at the tale end of the 70's BG boom, I often had some of the most amazing fish imaginable playing in my games (one guy didn't like running an opening 65 so he played 13/2..although he'd run an opening 64..to give u all an example of the great skill I had to play against). As you might expect, I often won a truckload of points and a few people expressed concerns that I was "more than too lucky" so I quickly learned to roll vigorously so that the dice usually bounded across the board and bounced off the opp's checkers. This, of course, means lots of cocked dice, but for sure anyone can see that you can't use a dump and slide move, or pinky hide a die when they are seen to be bouncing and spinning about. .. ie if the dice are tumbling on the board, there's basically no way to dice cheat if using fair and non magnetic or loaded dice. Since I often won lots (one lucky summer I won 93% of my matches in the 12 weekly tourneys I played) I had to make certain that no one would suspect me of dice cheating.
So, I still roll vigorously today and just deal with lots of cocked dice and avoid any suspicions that might be attached to someone who rolls in a dainty manner. Yes, if someone shakes vigorously a couple of times, he really cannot do any dump and slide move or repeat doubles or whatever, but he can still have a die in his pinky.
I watched a guy fuck up a pinky hold out move vs me in LA in the 80's. He needed a 3 to hit and win the 16 cube and at the last minute the clumsy clod's pinky bumped the die it had released off the 3 that was face up and came out of his pinky a bit slower than the die that came out of his cup. The guy said, " oh fuck" as the dice turned to something other than the winning 3 and I left no more blots and quit him and he asked why? and I replied that if he ever pulls that pinky shit on my again I'll break it.
If this guy had rolled properly both dice would be rolling across the board.
I do hope that the age of clocks doesn't result in dainty soft rolling that will make it easier for the dice mechanics.
