The first thing one needs to do to have top chances for success in this game or bridge or chess or whatever is to not let what has passed ruined your decision making process for what is present. You bet when this 2nd poor shot popped out of my cup that I was unhappy about not having cashed, but I purged those thoughts from my mind and considered how to best continue from here.
5/1x is so ugly..it is like punting..but punting to Devin Hester.
4/1x 4/3 looks too risky
I saw 4/3 5/2 but immediately rejected it since there's only aces to make the prime if I don't get hit.
Breaking the prime 8/5 8/7 looked wrong and also cramped and ugly.
20/17 4/3 looked cute..devilshy cute.. but too risky.
That left me with my choice of 20/16, just hoping to survive and come around and keep my 5 prime. I kept my 5 prime but was hit and eventually survived, but Rod's back checker had escaped so game over.
