Not only that, the watchers like those kind of plays for the same reason there is a morbid interest in watching an execution!

Also it has the most action! I might get hit, but I will be rolling to hit back, and the prime gives me a fighting chance.

Neil plays the checkers better than I do, so I wouldn't bet against his running play... But what do you do when someone redoubles you after that play? Or mine?
