Your strength is your prime and White's strength is his board. Therefore, I think it is probably wrong to make a play that leaves any shots if you have a good alternative. So, I'd make the 5-prime while playing safe with 13/8 9/8. The hitting alternative, 18/17* 13/8, looks too risky to me, with all of White's entering and hitting numbers, given his better board. Similarly, the board-building alternative, 9/4 5/4, also seems too blotty to me.
