Rod, had just rolled a bad 6 from the roof and was undecided between 13/7 (clearly best I think as I would have cashed) and 8/2 and finally settled on 8/2. In Rod's defence he has stated that he had no more than 3.5 hours sleep any night in Cleveland. I also had extreme issues sleeping in that hotel and was there for Thurs night also. As Chuck has stated, fatigue plays a huge part in these events noting there is so much BG played on Saturday. I felt great for the semis vs Mary but then had to wait maybe 90 min for Rod to play a couple LC matches and a quicky and that tired me. I'd allready checked out and didn't know anyone staying so I could borrow their room and lie down for a while.
Anyhow...one has to play well when tired and it was clear to me that my position was overwhelming and Rod wasn't playing his 6 this way bcuz he was taking. Thus I played on since I have so many good shots and the non pointing aces double hit. I rolled 21 and won a G after closing out two checkers quickly and then with some funny dice almost crashing.
