OTB and rollout

Thank you for your opinion. I should point out that I do not trust playing online for money. I know there are people who have done well doing that, but I learned that when there is money involved people cheat. I know that I will NOT cheat, therefore I have a disadvantage even if only 1% of online players are cheaters. In addition, one also has to overcome the site RAKE, which makes it even harder to win in the long run. Sometimes I play an online match against Falafel for 100 or something, which is arguably pretty stupid anyway, but that is about it. So, no danger of me losing @ high stakes online going against the Snowie/Gnu current.
In the long run, I haven't gotten crushed. Neither has Neil Kazaross. He leads everyone else in the ABT by over 100 points, and there are only about 15 players out of 2000 that have ever EARNED 100 points in the ABT.
So, sitting back and looking at it objectively and ignoring the BOT opinion...
Looks like you are not giving up so much to MISS this double. As Neil DID, and I would have.
Why is a harder question, and I can't read Neil's mind... But I know what I think, and it must be sort of similar... in some ways, I guess.
I just think that maybe you trap enough people after this that you gain more from waiting than you lose by not doubling. Giving away the cube here while trailing puts a tremendous amount of pressure on you to win this game, for the match is already beginning to slip away. That is a pretty considerable risk to take, maybe there is a better way? (!)
The BEST EVER waited. The BEST EVER, (by a mile), ended up winning. He must know something! At least I think so. Most if not all of your opponents in the ABT are mediocre, as you put it. Most of the ones here are better and working on it... But it can't be too bad to do what the greatest one, bar none, did, can it? He hasn't gotten crushed in the long run, he is the steamroller that has done most of the crushing, and he is still crushing today. He won 2 Masters and leads the ABT in 2009.
Imagine for a moment:
How would it be if he knew it was better to wait, despite what the bot says... and he led all of his followers down a path that would cause them to do the OPPOSITE under the same circumstances???
Would the pied piper always lead people down the path to victory???
