The big flaw in this argument is you're assuming your opponent will botch things up, turning it into a take, and that you'll what, play flawless backgammon? One has to outplay his opponent by the size of the error/blunder on average to push this to a take, even then, are you really happy you squeezed out a take in a gammonish position in a short match against weaker opponents?

where I was 200 rating points better than opp gnu said it was a 0.400 blunder

As I mentioned in my other post, I think this is a clear pass even with all the outside factors being weighed in.
