It's only between two plays for me, bar/24 8/3 or bar/24 6/1*. Bar/24 9/4 concedes part of our nice offensive structure for no gain other than trying to be a pussy. 6/1* is trying to jostle White off balance for a second, hoping he can't cover the 3 pt. and we'll get another whack at that blot. 8/3 is my preference because I can't stand 6/1*. It leaves us so vomity [it's a word!] even when it works. No direct covers for the ace point, though the equivalent to a direct cover with all the indirects, but the thing is, this isn't a position I particularly want my ace point made. 8/3 unstacks the 8 pt. to a semi-decent pt and let's face it, White doesn't always cover, we may get another shot at that blot on the 3 pt. anyway. After either play I think it's D/T.
bar/24 8/3 for me and D/T.
