If Blue hits and then gets hit back, his chances of being gammoned (for the match) go up considerably. Yes, Blue might win more games by hitting, but I don't think it is worth the gammon risk, especially not with the cube at 8. No hit - 8/7/4. (I hope you are still alive in the main, Neil.)
