Good points, Stick... The recube leverage is great, as your take point will go over 40% on a redouble.

Perhaps this is the reason that the GREAT players polled all seemed to say too good?

Not because it was too good to double so much, but because it is going to be coming back at 4 on you. So great players have learned to treat it as too good, and take their gammons without sacrificing cube ownership and leverage. Maintaining access to the cube may result in benefits later... perhaps it will become more clear down the road and the doubling decision which has merely been delayed can be made at that time.

Another thing is... if you double this guy out... as Bill did... The score becomes 2 away, 4 away... A score I try to avoid because alert players double early in the next game and take full advantage of their gammons... It is a favorable score for the TRAILER. I try to get past it or around it if I can, because any advantage is a great time to double for the trailer at that score.
