It is probably easier to figure out your opponent's take point and then go on to your GWC and compare the two. Since you lead 4-0 and the cube will go to 4 his options are to pass and have roughly 10% or take and rewhip... playing this game for the match.
If you close him out, with your current spare structure you are about 97%, so that would lose your market... but you are far from a close out now. If he enters and you hit loose, he will hit you back 30% and then be trying to exit with a 6... So, seems like he must have well over 10% wins he needs here to take.
One thing that I try to remember in these positions is this:
I will feel a small amount of satisfaction if I redouble and win this game on the resulting 8 cube... Thats the good news.
The bad news? I will HATE like hell to lose this game, and MATCH, on an 8 cube, so I want to make sure I am doing the right thing. I'd rather he makes a mistake taking than I make a mistake doubling, because the ends, [small satisfaction], don't justify the means [risking great disappointment].
I also like to show even a great player like Richard Munitz that I have no intention of squandering my big lead by letting him get lucky in one game. If he gets lucky here, the score is going to be 4-2/7. Psychologically it is powerful to drag your opponent through a little mud when you can...
