Weaker Players

The idea of consciously sub-optimal decisions against weaker players is to make them pay more for them, on average, than they cost you. As long as this condition is fulfilled, you can give up equity at every opportunity, and it will not only not erode your advantage, but even tend to increase it. Of course it's hard to judge if the condition is fulfilled, even more so than to judge if you even are the better player in the first place.
Are you asking because you think people are overdoing that stuff? I feel that at least in forum discussions, it is rather underrepresented.
