I am sure I made the 11 point and stepped up with the 3, 24/21. 11/8 and 22/20 might be better. I like blocking random points in front of anchors to creat landing spaces, but in this case the 11 point doesn't work in harmony with the 5 point. What is the term Kleinman used? Dis-communication? It would be better if I had the 4 point made and not the 5 point, but these are details I don't pay that much attention to OTB. That is probably why people like Stick and Richard Munitz outplay me with the checkers consisitently.

I am not even sure that the default settings on Gnu, which is what I still use, are sensitive enough to gig me on plays like this one or #4.

I think I saw the two made the 11 point, did that, and started looking around for a 3. That is a good Rx for making mistakes, btw. Playing half your roll and limiting your options to what is left. Why not take a little more time and use your imagination with up to $500 riding on it, and bragging rights, and 5 extra ABT points?

15 ABT points would have me in the top 10, within striking distance of 1st place. 10 has me about 14th, where winning only a large event would put me in the lead. Championships and top 3 trophies hinge on this kind of stuff... Ask Richard Munitz who missed out on the third place trophy by way less than one TENTH of a point last year!
