simple 43 to play

The doubles 6s is clearly a horrible roll, likely your second worst right behind double 5s. You had the timing to try to play a well timed ace deuce game but now you have to re-evaluate because that's not going to happen. Even though going forward with 3 checkers still stuck behind a 5 prime that you're not even at the edge of, it may be your best bet.
I prefer trying to scoop all the blots, 23/17*/11* picking up two blots, 23/17 leaving a checker aimed at the other two blots, and finally the only 6 that's left, 13/7 which slots the bar point or may be used as an attacker. Ideally your opponent tosses 6X and is unable to enter both checkers and then you may be able to make some real progress. 23/17*/11* 23/17 13/7 for me with the sixes.
You made my play with the 6s which I guess I should be disappointed about since you posted it it's likely wrong but I didn't like sitting on the defensive 17pt and making the offensive bar point though it's a viable option. I feel a lot more confident about not hitting with the 43. There's nothing to be gained from hitting, you have to slide into your ace point game, it's all you have left. 17/13 8/5 cleaning up my blots and unstacking the 8pt to build my board hoping I get a shot sooner than later with the as of now fantom ace-deuce backgame.
