There aren't going to be many mistakes made in this position. Someone might play it bad but even a weak opponent, presented this golden opportunity will grasp at this straw and rewhip it with confidence.

There is one mistake that is very unlikely to happen, and that is for him to DROP this bad redouble.

The actual fact that the initial double was ONLY a drop by .009, and that Rory's redouble was ONLY no redouble by .021 are going to create the false confidence required to do this stuff again in the future, it is not SOOOOOOO bad to redouble this according to the bot, but you are not a bot.

Mistakes are much more likely from Rory's side because he will have choices.

The thing is, we would NOT have seen these two positions in a million years if he lost on an 8 cube. No way. It's amusing trivia that he made a tiny bad take and a tiny bad redouble when he had all the aces up his sleeve and he got away with it...

But he gave one of his Aces away, along with this cube. The ends, (small satisfaction from winning a match you had basically won anyway), do not justify the means, {{{risking a devastating psychological loss when you had everything going for you, just so you wouldn't have to continue the match from 8*-3/9? (!)}}}

The real beauty of this situation is that it is possible for Rory, an up and coming student of the game, to learn his lesson without experiencing the devastating side of the equation.

Trust me, it is ten times worse to lose on this 8 cube than it was fun to win it, and basically you didn't really deserve to win. The dice equal out in the end, I know that much, so don't expect too much sympathy next time you get beat by an unlikely sequence. You set yourself up for failure here, the dice just didn't let you fail this time. They will make up for it in the future.

It's not too late to change your ways, though, and it is wise to learn from other people's mistakes.
