More cube action after taking my earlier post

All of the discussion we've had is valuable. But, I think it is even more valuable to understand the backgammon than the intangibles. Try the variant positions below. I have not yet checked to see what the proper cube action is. So, these may not even be interesting. (Don't apply QF.) Can we apply our earlier thoughts to new positions where we don't have a rollout?
Who understands all of these? I do not.
I submit that the main problem was not that Rory chose to make a small error. The problem is that Rory didn't know he was making an error at all. He thought it was a strong double. And, many others would have made either the same mistake he did or they would have waited way too long to double. I give Rory credit for trying to do the right thing even though I hated the play as much as Ray does. This is a tough and there aren't many who could perfectly analyze the original position and the ones I have posted without a computer. Does anyone want to give it a try?
