I think you and MCG have silicone in your ears. :-). You two guys plug in all the variables you want ELO, astrological signs, barometric pressure, the current trend in porkbelly futures.

This kind of redouble is only good against a guy who will PASS. If he doesn't, the possibility of a perfect storm exists and you seeded the clouds.

Its a great double if Neil or some other expert would pass it. Then you are doing the right thing and taking advantage of his arrogance. I don't think Neil is passing, I know I am not, and I know that Rory's opponent didn't. I think Rory knew his opponent wouldn't, but he doubled anyway. Not the biggest blunder he will make this week, even, but conceptually weak.

Rory said he ought to give the guy a chance to pass. He didn't say he thought he WAS going to pass.

One time I correctly predicted when Kit Woolsey would pass a cube in the finals of the Nevada State Championship in 2003. His shoulders slumped after I put him on the roof with a 55, and he fanned. It was no double by .250, and a take by alot more. I could just tell he was passing, thats all. Kit may well have been managing his risk against a weaker player, he said later he didn't want the match to get out of hand... Eventually he won the match when he won gammons on two passes I took... A 1.03, and a 1.06, earning him 8 points, so you have to give him credit I guess for finding a way to win against ME. Now that is match management!
