I used to score for the cricket team when I was at school. I've only been to one baseball game, but I kept score then.

I used to sometimes keep score when listening to games late at night on Armed Forces Radio. It was OK until the reception from Hamburg faded out under the commentary from Spanish football on a nearby station. I found it really helped to keep track of what was going on, especially as the player's weren't familiar to me. Oddest event I recall was some pitcher throwing four Ks in one inning.
