gammon go openings - a simple question

I always look at trailing -4 -2 as a gammon go score. Not 100% true of course since losing an undoubled g costs you the match, but close enough for me. 21 response to an opening 31? Slotting's barely right at pure GG, so it's an even closer call ATS. If you adopt in crazy strategy of always doubling on your next turn regardless of the oppt's roll, you'll then be at pure GG where it would be correct to slot with the 21. I'd slot but it's a real close play and not worth worrying about.
