I estimate that running puts us behind by about 6 effective pips, which isn't too bad. The problem is that so many of White's sub-par racing rolls hurt us: 11 12 13 14 22. We need to be gaining pips on those rolls, but we end up losing. This tips the scales for me and has me staying back.
