We're all glad you're OK, much more important than the car, though now you can start worrying about the details on that.

You can insure for greater than book value even if your car isn't an antique or classic by adding "customization" to it. For example, you'd do if you installed a stereo with included GPS, and ipod dock, and a subwoofer that replaced the back seat. Otherwise you'll have a hard time proving your car was more valuable than book value.

My bet is that it will need the frame straightened, and that repair will push it over the edge to being totalled.
