I had a similar encounter with icy conditions in CA on hwy 58. There was not a guard rail, I slid from the slow lane west bound thru the fast lane, thru the 50 yard wide grassy median, thru the fast and slow lanes EAST bound, and did a little whoopdee doo at the berm on the side of the rod east bound.

I was lucky that East bound traffic had been stopped, and had to wonder why west bound wasn't?? I just got dirt between my rim and tire is all so I had a slow leak in that wheel until I had the tire remounted months later. If I had met up with an 18 wheeler going the other way, I would have earned my last ABT point.

Nice going on the seatbelt, Stick. Glad you hadn't been drinking also. Might want to slow down from XX MPH a little. I think your vehicle must be front wheel drive, but you are supposed to steer into a slide. Probably would not have helped you... Congratulations your result was better than winning the tournament, you may still win one this year now!
