that in standard positions its evaluations are very good, though not perfect, and it makes mistakes in both directions.

In standard positions GNU is fine too.

It might be true that Snowie is slightly stronger than GNU at backgames on average but I think its evaluations/rollouts in complex situations with outfield primes are vastly overrated and more or less useless.
