In Response To: Position from LC Atlanta Game #2 v. Neil (Stick)

Hi all, first i want to thank Stick for repairing my Account trouble.

Blue should decline the building play 8/4(2) 6/2(2), cause white is not in bad shape to build a prime in front of blueīs 2 runner on the 3 Point. Timing in case of a prime battle is also against blue. The same reason i wouldnt make here the 5 pt.

A must play is 22/18(2) it takes away the prime thread from white. A little difficult are the last 2 4īs to play. 13/9(2) has the advantage of good controll of the outfield and it leaves the pressure on the blot from white. But again there is the timing problem, blue must clear the oppīs bar point later or sooner, and this may happen when white has a strong board. So i would also decline 13/9(2). Same reason for 8/4(2), it makes a good point but still there is the timing problem. 22/14(2)* is the pure running play with the 2 runners. It raises the gammon chance, it connects all checkers and Blue has a very big racing lead. The disadvantage of this play is that if white rolls good he will probably be able to set up a second Anchor in whites Homeboard. I would have played 22/14(2)* over the board.
