LOL! Man do I feel stupid. I sat there on my iPhone trying to type on the little buttons with my big fingers for 10 minutes explaining exactly what you said, until I suddenly had a mental spasm and realized - hey wait, there's no free drop at this score. Scrapped my whole post and wrote this babble!

Anyway, back on a real keyboard now. What I had almost said earlier as well was that at PC undoubled, the slot loses the market when it works and is clearly worse off than the point when it doesn't (you get hit). So it is like the logic of why you don't slot an opening 2-1 when there is a free drop. You get dropped when it works so you never get to reap the benefit.
