Training matches #4 - More cube?

To repeat Neil in my words with my calculations:
Current Score 7 away 5 away (7a5a), cube at 4
last roll
7a on roll wins 5/36 = ~13.9%
Doubling Point has to be less than 13.9% to double
Doubling Point(DP) Calculation - Football field
Risk ... Gain
DoubleLose(dl)-NoDoubleLose(ndl) ... NoDoubleWin(ndw)-DoubleWin(dw)
7a0a - 7a1a ... 3a5a - 0a5a,
where "a" is away, i.e. 7 away 0 away
dl 7a0a 0
ndl 7a1a .09
ndw 3a5a .65
dw 0a5a 1.0
risk/(risk+gain)
risk = .09 - 0 = .09
gain = 1.0 - .65 = .35
.09/(.35+.09)=
.09/.44
~20.5% = doubling point(DP)
BTW, I don't understand what 4 to 1 means. I think it means 1/(1+4)=20%. What schoolbook did everyone read to learn this that I missed growing up? Can I have a copy?
