You can refer to the pot however you like, the easiest might be to simply say there's $50 in the pot now, or 5 big bets. Nobody would really say '10 little bets' but it doesn't much matter...
On this flop, after 3 betting preflop, you have to bet. I don't care what the cards are short handed you're last to act you have shown strength you bet, period. The flop could have been two tennis balls and a cherry cola and I'd bet it. The ace does suck, because it's likely that one of my opponents, both of who came in for 3 bets preflop, is likely to have. If they do I want to find out right now, I bet, they raise, I can call w/the great pot odds trying to spike a nine, or I can fold.
You can push out plenty of hands here as short handed the utg raiser could be on just about anything. You push out hands like TJ JQ QK lots of underpairs will fold because they'll put you on an ace, etc. You cut off someone playing TJ off, you giving them a free card and a 3rd diamond coming off and now they're in it chasing down 4 to a flush. In limit you NEVER slowplay. This is a general rule, but if you don't know when you should break it (rarely) then you should simply bet/raise. No trapping in limit, there's no such thing, all you really can do is trap yourself.
