Ok... first off let's look at your opponents play. (and it was the small blind you were playing against not the preflop raiser)...

He calls $12 (a 3bet) into a pot of $32 (mistake #1) with pocket 6s.

He hits his longshot set on the flop... a flop with an ace no less (and 2 preflop raisers behind him) and he checks?!?! (donkey mistake #2)

He flat calls on the flop that has a diamond draw and straight draws(donkey mistake #3)

He checks on the turn... kind of forgivable I guess... a straight did make it here.

I ALWAYS lead out when I hit my set. A set is fairly well disguised anyway, and people with top 2, flush draws, and even TPTK will usually raise so I can get another 2 bets in.
