I dont know the stack and straggler method, but using some variation of adjustment method I would penalize blue 4 pips for 2 white off, (4*2) for 3rd checker and up on the ace + (5*1) for 3rd checker and up on deuce. I would also add 'a few' pips in addition because of the huge amounts of spare checkers on the deuce and ace since I think the penalty goes up as the numbers of checkers increase. Lastly I would penalize 1 pip for the outfield checker.

That's all I got here.
