So it happens to everyone which is why you should pay attention to the position, especially when your opponent rolls (small) doubles, it seems to me this is from where a larger portion of the accidental illegal plays stem. This is also why I prefer the one hand only rule to move the checkers, make it less confusing when ppl start shuffling them around.

You're absolutely right... the one thing I've noticed since I started video recording matches is that my opponents tend to make more illegal plays than I do, and I tend to miss a lot of my opponent's illegal plays.
