Interesting... and I am sure that you would want to play better with an $1K side bet... But I am not sure that everyone would. Money pressure affects people differently.

For instance, I think that if I had a side bet of $1K on my ER being 4 or less in a match, that I would be more likely to LOSE the bet with $1K riding on it because I would tend to overthink it. Maybe I would even be more likely to LOSE if there was a $1K on beating any certain opponent also, I don't know.

If you can confidently state that the extra $ pressure makes you play better, that is a very valuable asset.
