I think it is good practice to ask permission before copying an e-mail or quoting another person. I try to do this although I can think of too many instances where I have fallen short of this standard. It is also good practice to state, "please do not copy this or quote me" if that is important. Standards of what should remain private are not uniform and can't be assumed. I've gotten into the habit of reading an e-mail before sending it and asking myself if I will be satisifed if it is later made public.

I think if these posts gave you the impression that everyone had negative feelings about the tournament, you got the wrong impression. My recollection of the event was that there were a lot of happy smiling people in the room all the time. Your efforts were appreciated by myself and certainly most of your guests. Things that go well don't prompt pashionate debate; problems do.
