I was sure that 6/2 was the bot play, and I almost talked myself into it. I'd have never looked deep enough over the board to see its merits and would have made the obvious 6/4 12/8. The unseen value of 6/2 comes from frustrating the opponent from moving 24/23 when he rolls an ace. Hitting is the last thing he wants to do in a timing battle, and forcing the extra pip to be moved in the homeboard can be significant. Particularly on aces like 1-4, 1-3 and 1-1. Never got to post this commentary yesterday since I saw it on my iPhone and it frequently gets into a mode where it can't post.
