I just make the prime, easily.

The best alternative seems to be 24/22(2). Making just one prime point would leave me wondering what to do with the remaining aces. 24/23(2) puts them on the wrong point - giving white timing to move in to the 3 point while waiting for the jumping numbers out through the hole. 24/22 Gives white the option to attack, and again time to jump out through the hole - possibly with me on the bar.

So what's with 24/22(2). After a non-ace for white, I'd much prefer to have made the prime. I have timing with my runner, and can split freely - forcing white to move in while I have my Six-prime intact. After an ace for white I still think 24/22(2) doesn't look too hot. I still have 3 behind a 5 prime while white has two behind a prime with two holes that don't fill easily. Main benefit is being at the edge. After 7(2) 5(2) and ace by white, I will probably be breaking my 6 prime fast, but 6 primes break into 5 primes that are still strong, and I am by no means lost.

If 24/22(2) is better at all after a white ace, I cannot see that it is better by enough to offset that it seems to be worse in the non-ace scenarios - and esp the big swings on 55 and 33.
