I did bar someone, (and still can), Bob.

In this case I was joking, but regardless of how the rules read the way they are currently interpreted by the majority of directors is that you can ban anyone for any reason from watching your match.

They might have a beef that gets upheld on a technicality in case someone has the exact rule that Stick produced here during the last time this controversy was visited. BUT, it has always been enforced in a way to support the players involved at the expense of the spectators. The main probable reason for this is it is very easy to remove the irritating influence to a place remotely located from the match... Much easier than moving the match, for instance. TDs want harmony and this solution tends to promote harmony.

You were not there at that time, so I guess it is understandable that you do not understand the reality. Maybe it OUGHT not to be like this, but it is how it IS.
