Chicago Final

You get rewarded in cash as it stands. I lost this time, thats all, but I got to 85% in a match where my opponent had a luck factor of +3.5, (according to Bill's post).
In it Bill noted that the luck basically equalled out, but I am reminded of the time I read something Bill Robertie wrote which stated if the luck factor gets to -5, then you basically just can't win. 3.5 is 70% of the way to 5.
Anyway I rolled well enough to win, I am sure, but I made some bad checker plays. My two worst were on separate plays of (3,3). You can be sure I will be working on that.
Twice in this match I made an incorrect double that Larry passed. Three other times he made a blunder in passing a proper double I gave him. His goal was never to get gammoned, apparently. It worked, he didn't, and he won a couple of undoubled gammons of his own, like at 11-14*/15 when I held his 5 anchor (!).
In 21 games I never won a gammon or backgammon. You had to put the double match point game to music for him to win it, almost. My list of advantages and opportunities were long and varied.
