Chicago Final (64 to play)

For me this is a tough choice between pointing and bringing two down. I don't fancy either running play here, though John's analysis has made me think seriously about running both - a play I overlook too often.

Bringing two down leaves 8 shots, but Blue should be able to get a good prime when missed. The pointing play freezes White, so he can't anchor or escape immediately. However, Blue may find it awkward to fill two gaps, so White may well get an advanced anchor.

For money, I think it is close; at DMP, the zero gammon value leads me to favour 13/7 13/9.
