That's so cool, Rod, here's a fishy for you.
Geez, Stick might get 30 points by July 4th...
I dunno if getting the most points is the best yardstick though. The ones who play the most have the most exposure to points.
Maybe a value could be assigned like a batting average? Percentage of cashes in ABT events... WSOB events.... Euro events...
A great tool would be overall Won Lost percentage like baseball teams.
Koca posted one that showed pretty clearly who was the best beltway player... and who was second... The guy with the most points only had a 56% MWP, while Ed O was at like 70% and UBK 66% or so...
One gets rewarded for attendance when he wins his local area points title.
A giant gets rewarded for his high MWP and worldwide results in bigger regional events that attract more good players...
We all have to compete against some great players, and some bums, all are subject to upsets but MWP is the most reliable indicator and would go hand in hand with a percentage of cashes in 32 player, (and up), fields.
Maybe the Danish top ten should get a weighted average, because there is more interest and more great players there. Their factor might be 1.2, Japan 1.0, America 1.0, Israel's 0.9...
