The question is will he get 30 ABT points in the next 7 months... not will he have 30 points in the next 7 months.... so, a better way of wording it would have been... will Stick get a total of 55 ABT points by year's end?

If we want to do MWP, we should just have a rating system like in chess. That's more reflective of ability than a MWP anyway.
