Congratulations to Carol, who has been RED HOT over the past year or so. Here is her impressive resume over the past fourteen months:

In May 2008 she won the Southeast Backgammon Championships in Atlanta. At the same tournament she was second in the doubles.

Also in May 2008 at the Chicago Backgammon Championships she was runner-up in a jackpot event.

In Aug-Sep 2008 at the Wisconsin State Backgammon Championships she won a Blitz Event that 32 people entered. At the same tournament she was also second to Bob Glass in the $200 Labor Day Jackpot Event. She exacted her revenge on Bob by beating him in the semis this weekend.

In January 2009 at the New York Metropolitan Open she won the doubles event with Matt Cohn-Geier in a field of 32 teams.

In March 2009 she won the Fleet Underwood Memorial, an annual tournament held in Michigan.

In June 2009 she won the US Backgammon Open, defeating world-class player Joe Russell in the finals.

She is also currently holds the number 1 spot in the 2009 Flint Area BG Club Top 20 (as of May 28th).

She advertizes on her Web site (www.flintbg.com) that she gives free lessons by appointment. I plan to get a few free lessons from her next time I am in Michigan.
