Not playing bg ten years ago I never heard this 'myth'. I had always used Snowie cubeless rollouts because of the time factor noting that it took at least twice as long to get stat. sig. cubefully and the results on the whole were close enough cubeless or adjusted.

Snowie rollouts are still painfully slow compared to their GNU counterpart and I imagine it may still take about 18 months but Snowie will be a thing of the past much like JellyFish.
