Yes I have to agree with you, and as I said I saw Laver in the twighlight of his career doing freakish looking things, chasing down impossible balls to hit winners between his legs for example. He had EVERY shot, whereas someone like Federer is a fantastic athlete with most shots, great serve, nerves of steel, willpower etc. BUT - you don't see the same variety of shot making in my opinion. Laver missed about 16 slams presumably when he was at his peak, what could he have done if he had played them all?
