The processors come with coolers but from what I've read, if you're going to push them hard, give away the freebie and pay the $50-$100 for a kickass cooler.

Good advice, while the stock coolers have gotten better over the years, they are still better used as paperweights than on high end systems. Hard to go wrong with Zalman or Thermaltakes though.
